Week 16 Update

Week 16 is coming to a close.  The baby is about palm-size now, measuring about 5 inches long and weighing about 5 ounces.  The baby also starting to form body fat (unfortnately, I can't transfer any of mine!), but it is still pretty skinny and has translucent skin.  The baby is now able to suck and swallow, and has a heart beat that is now regulated by its brain (rather than spontaneous beats).

Since the 4-month check-up last Thursday, this week has been pretty uneventful.  I've been getting slight headaches and neck/muscle aches, but nothing too terrible.  All in all, I still feel pretty good.  I've noticed another odd (though not unexpected thing), which is that my belly is getting harrier!  All the more things to make me feel super attractive...haha

In general, I'm starting to feel large...  I'm not huge yet (and I know from the last check-up that I haven't been gaining a ton of weight), but clothes are fitting a little tighter (especially the non-maternity clothes I'm still trying to pull off), so it adds to the effect.  I also had to buy new bras this past weekend since I've upgraded a full cup size.  Staring at the bra in the store, I thought to myself, "There's no way I need one this big!"  But, sure enough, upon trying it on, I felt much better!  Hopefully I won't need to upgrade again since (a) it's just getting scary, and (b) buying bras is expensive!!

That's all for now!
