Today is the beginning of week 24. The baby is now about a pound and a half and 8 1/2 inches long (about the size of a standard letter, but a lot heavier!). His weekly weight gain is now about 6 oz. (although mine is more than that!!). A lot of the weight is coming from accumulating baby fat, as well as from growing organs, bones, and muscle. His face is now almost fully formed, complete with a full set of eyelashes and eyebrows, and a little bit of hair on his head.
I don't have a whole lot to report on my end for the past week. I'm definitely starting to feel achy more often now (mostly in my hips and lower back), and it's pretty hard for me to bend over to pick anything up now! (Squatting down seems to work better!) The only time the achiness really bothers me is when I'm trying to sleep. But, I find that taking a hot shower after work and using my Sleep and peppermint lotions definitely helps me to relax.
Last Sunday, Mark and I started a baby registry at Babies 'R Us. While we were in the store, I think it was more exhausting and overwhelming than fun...haha We even did some research before going on some of the major things like car seats, strollers, etc., but we still felt like we had no idea what the heck we were doing! But, I think between the check list they hand you at the store and cleaning up the registry list online when we got home, we definitely put a pretty good dent in everything.
Guess that's all for now!
